Designed to achieve dry solids content of up to 80% and filtrates of outstanding clarity, these filters offer a reliable solution for demanding applications.

Customisable to meet specific requirements, our candle filters support thin-cake pressure filtration, cake washing, drying, re-slurrying, automatic discharge, and heel filtration. They are commonly used in clarification and recovery processes for liquids with low solids content, ranging from 5% to trace amounts below 1%.

Schematic Candle Filters provide a safer alternative to traditional leaf filters. Unlike leaf filters, which require manual removal of carbon—a pyro-hazardous material—our multi-tube carbon filter design ensures automatic discharge. This system eliminates manual handling, reducing risks to operators, as carbon is directly discharged into a container.

During operation, the filtrate is pumped into the filter, with mother liquor transferred to an ML tank and solids collected on the filter candles. Using a reverse flush method, wet cake is automatically discharged into a container beneath the filter. Fully contained filtration makes these filters ideal for handling solvents, concentrated acids, and other toxic substances.
